I started Capoeira for the first time with this group this past summer. The classes are great and the teachers are on point. As a long-time Iyengar Yoga teacher and practitioner, I have really enjoyed getting involved with ASCAB Capoeira. Classes are inspiring, challenging (in the right ways), and also accessible. Perhaps best of all, there is a really welcoming community for adults and kids alike.
This studio is amazing! I am relatively new to capoeira (6mnths) and was very intimidated by it at first, but the maestros Pato & Equilibrio were very welcoming, encouraging & are great at giving instruction. I would recommend this studio & style of martial art to everyone. A great way to get fit, healthy & learn self defense at the same time!
my daughter has been going to classes with ASCAB capoeira chico for 2 years and it has been an incredibly empowering experience, full of fun and community! capoeira pushes her in the best ways to explore her body’s capacity in a safe and super supportive space! the art of capoeira has a rich history and is full of song, both of which are woven into each class….highly recommended! the instructors are incredible!
Stepping into this studio is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. The instructors are wonderful people and great listeners. The challenges of practicing capoeira continue to help me grow physically, mentally and spiritually. And that's not without the cultural education, which is a whole world worth exploring!
This was a great experience, I had been wanting to try capoeira, and the class was so much fun! I'm so glad that there is a place like this in Chico to bring the people together of all ages and skill levels. They also offer yoga and other sorts of classes, definitely worth checking out.
