We highly recommend Dog Latin. We loved working with Tara. She took the time to understand our dog's needs as well as our own. Ethan was very comfortable with her. He was so relaxed in her presence that she had to take our word for it about his anxiety and reactivity!! If you need a trainer for a special dog that's often misunderstood, reach out to Tara.
Tara has been so helpful working with us to help our dog! She’s always punctual with our appointments, very dependable. But more importantly she knows her stuff. She’s great at breaking down behaviors to figure out how to train. She suggests ways to set up the environment to make desired behavior more likely. She knows how to deal with the people and the dogs in the situations. I have been very happy with our work together.
We’ve had a wonderful experience with Dog Latin and with our trainer, Tara, specifically. She has to be the most patient dog trainer ever. Our guy has serious anxiety issues and difficulty being comfortable around most people. After only a couple of visits Tara was able to make our dog comfortable, confident, and she’s now one his of his favorite people in the world. I had an amazing experience working with Dog Latin! I'd worked with several other trainers previously and just didn't like their methods and my dog, Oli, was only getting more and more anxious and reactive. Tara was such a huge help with our dog! We started out focusing on separation anxiety and then started working towards leash manners. Throughout our training sessions, Tara listened to our concerns and observations and gave us excellent advice that felt practical and realistic for us. After our sessions, she sent us detailed notes and extra resources to help us continue our training at home. She was on-time, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about dog behavior and training.We will absolutely be recommending her!
