Great hidden spot for espresso drinks and a small selection of pastries. Beautiful setting in a small, very Del Mar business park. The Coaster goes by occasionally. Off the main road so it’s quiet. Really can’t go wrong. Not the friendliest people but maybe they were having a tough day.

Liquid Bean's beauty is seen in their simplicity. Their simple coffee shop, with kind baristas, located a beautiful garden, adds up to an inspiring coffee moment. Liquid Bean clearly highlights the garden, with only outdoor seating. As for me, I was caught up in the beauty of the well kept garden. This place provides space for contemplation, which at times is needed. To optimize your visit, please dress for Del Mar weather. I look forward to another coffee experience at Liquid Bean.

Very cute little place and the service was great. The girls working there were very nice. Now, let’s talk about the drinks. I ordered a honey matcha latte! It looked good and had a nice color, but it honestly tasted like water. Very disappointing, especially since the reviews are great. We’re visiting from LA, so maybe SD just doesn’t do matcha well. The pastries were also underwhelming. The croissant didn’t even look like a real croissant, more like the boxed, store-bought kind. Overall, the matcha was completely tasteless.

Liquid Bean might have the best coffee in Del Mar! Seriously, the ladies are sweet, the atmosphere inviting (hello outdoor coffee bar in a corporate center- only possible in San Diego), I love the water for dogs with a container off bones! Oh right, the coffee! Rich and full, medium dark without any bitterness. Great find for my oat milk latte!

I absolutely adore this place! It’s a hidden gem and the drinks and the food are consistently delicious. Go! It would be good for your soul! And tummy!
