Excellent experience on our first visit here! Awesome decor, great food and service. Chips & salsa were both very good (thin chips) and we each had a shredded chicken (tinga) burrito.
We just recently had our first experience at plaza Bonita. Overall it wasn't terrible but also nothing great or special. For us, it's not good enough to return. We came on a Friday around 5:30 and it was packed. We didn't mind to wait and figured that was a good sign. We were told the wait would be about 20-25 minutes. After 40 minutes we checked in and several names after ours were crossed off. Been coming here for years. Love this place. The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food portions are substantial., you will not leave hungry and the prices are fair. Decent beer selection and plenty of spirits to select from. We'll be back... again.
I've been reviewing mexican food all over arizona this is by far the worst food I've had. I was so excited to try this place because of the excellent reviews. The beans are clearly canned or not made properly. The rice must be bagged. The ground beef taste more like hormel Chile. The "prawns" are just tiny shrimp with the tail left on the sauce on the arroz con prawns is bland. They only give you 3 tortillas. UPDATE: NEVER WILL I EVER SPEND ANY MORE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY AT THE CAREFREE LOCATION EVER AGAIN! THAT BURRITO REALLY HURT MY STOMACH.
