I decided to get box braids and I was not disappointed. Beautiful experience. Beautiful tradition of African culture. There was a young family, a barber, a little boy there, and lots of women, lots of talking, laughing and my stylist sang African songs I had never heard. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done 1 week ago by Melvis & Anita. My best friend & I traveled from Huntington WV. We called the shop at 1pm asking if we could and they said yes! From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcomed & comfortable the entire time. I got small knotless boho braids hip length. They were fast, neat and talked to me the whole time. My first time at Smart Braids. I had a good experience. The owner was nice and welcoming. The young lady that braided my hair I give her 8 stars. She was very kind I didn't get her name but she gave me a 1/2 lemonade Braids and 1/2 knotless it looks so detailed. It's so cute! I love it❤️It's not too tight anywhere. I will be returning.

My time at smart braids is an amazing experience getting my hair braided! The stylist Megan and Auja were professional, gentle, fast and incredibly skilled. The parts were clean, the braids were neat and consistent, and the entire style looked flawless.
