I had the pleasure of getting my hair done 1 week ago by Melvis & Anita. My best friend & I traveled from Huntington WV. We called the shop at 1pm asking if we could and they said yes! I’ve been coming to Smart Braids African Braiding Salon for about three years now, and I absolutely love it here! I was first recommended by a friend, and ever since then, I’ve been a loyal client every 2–3 months. My hair has grown tremendously since I started coming. What I love most is how accommodating they are. Please do not come here. Customer service is non existent, and they do not care about the health of your hair or cleanliness of the salon. Very rude— I am in my 30s so I’ve had my hair braided my entire life. I am NOT tender headed. This experience was so painful and I let the stylist know immediately. I told her I appreciate her work, and asked nicely for her to ease up. Lots of sucking through her teeth when I spoke up for myself.
