Stone Oven in Fashion Island is the soul of the mall. To me, they are synonymous. The foodcourt space they occupy is large and the overall cooking space seems clean. I ordered the BBQ beef brisket sandwich and there was very little beef on it, mostly onion crisps. I took it back and showed them how little beef there was on it and they said that is the way it is and they would not give me any more. This is a total ripoff for $ 12.
Food was pretty good and decent value, you get a good sized portion with a free side. Service was terrible though, the person making our food looked to have no sense of urgency, moving extremely slowly, usually I have patience but they really could have been just a little faster. To top it off, while waiting for my food a guy walked up to pick up his food and reached over the glass to pick up some trays and napkins and even put a napkin back while both workers stood there and watched.
