The lack of thought put into every bit of this restaurant including the service, the atmosphere, the lighting, and the food is noticeable after so many other amazing experiences in New Orleans. The lighting is so dark, that you have to use flashlights to read or do much of anything. Our server would have preferred to be doing her eyeliner than working here I'm sure. Walked here from our hotel for dinner and the food was delicious. We ordered a couple of rolls, one was on the specials menu, the Black and Gold roll and I can’t remember the name of the rest but they were all very tasty. A nice upscale sushi restaurant with friendly staff. My only complaint is that we saw a large roach or possibly a cricket crawling on the floor as we were paying the bill. There is so much great food in New Orleans it’s sometimes hard to pick a favorite but I’m going on record as saying this was one of the best dinners my family and I had during our recent visit. They had a scallop special that literally was one of the single best things I’ve ever eaten. Everything was great and their take on the classic Hurricane was awesome. Highly recommend it! Only 2 pictures because I was so focused on enjoying dinner I forgot to snap pics!!
The food was great, but the true standout of my experience was my server, Eli. From the moment we arrived, Eli made us feel genuinely welcomed with a warm and friendly personality.
